Trivia and Facts from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Because of the fact that the cast filmed Parts 1 and 2 of Mockingjay at the same time, they couldn’t really say much when doing interviews for Part 1.

The film’s director, Francis Lawrence stated that this film was the most violent out of the four in the series.

Lily Rabe was originally cast to play the role of Commander Lynne but was replaced by Gwendoline Christie. The reason for the recast is that Lily Rabe had a previous commitment to star in Much Ado about Nothing and the two schedules conflicted.

The majority of the film’s Capital scenes were actually filmed in Berlin and Paris.

Two of the film’s cast members, Gwendoline Christie and Natalie Dormer, also appear in HBO’s television show Game of Thrones together. Christie plays the role of Brienne of Tarth while Dormer plays the role of Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones.

The movie features a cast that includes three Academy Award winners. Jennifer Lawrence won the award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook in 2013, Philip Seymour Hoffman won the award for his role in Capote in 2006 and Julianne Moore won the award for her role in Still Alice in 2015.

The main trailer for the movie was released on July 24th, 2015 while the final trailer for the movie was released on October 6th, 2015. Don’t forget to read our Join the Revolution: Sneak Peek at the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
