We received a complimentary sample of the subscription box to facilitate this Space Scouts review for kids. All opinions are our own.
Outer space is fascinating to kids of all ages. At 9, my son has left behind so many beloved childhood themes and toys, but he still remains enthralled by the universe beyond our atmosphere. You could say that space is the one thing that really grows with your child, since it’s always growing itself. I think. Honestly, I was never good at physics, so I probably shouldn’t be attempting space jokes. You get the point: kids like space. Get ready for something they’re really going to love! Space Scouts: an awesome subscription service for kids that takes your kids on exciting outer space expeditions each month.
Space Scouts Review: Educational Fun for Kids
Space Scouts is an exciting subscription service for kids that lets them explore the universe without a space suit. The first month comes with a very cool tin Space Scouts lunch box, a solar system poster map the Space Scouts constellation card startup kit to hold the monthly constellation card collection. The lunch box is perfect for storing your magnet collection from future months. My son actually wanted to use it as a lunch box though. He was so excited about it, he wanted to pack his lunch for school.
Other items in your introductory package include:
- Introduction to the Space Scouts Program
- Space Scouts Activity Sheet
- Space Scouts Sticker Scramble
- Space Scouts Souvenir Toy (like those cool astronauts above!)
- Introduction to Space Scouts Constellation Cards
After your introductory box, your child will receive a monthly box featuring:
- Space Scouts Exploration Plan
- Space Scouts Magnet
- Space Scouts Sticker
- Space Scouts Activity Sheet
- Space Scouts Sticker Scramble
- Another awesome Space Scouts Souvenir Toy (we received the Bionic Claw)
- Space Scouts Constellation Card
- Space Scouts Constellation Activity Sheet
Jacob loved all the items in his Space Scouts kits, but I think he was particularly excited about the Bionic Claw! He’s looking a little sinister here, don’t you think? Not sure what that’s all about.
Each month offers such a wide variety of entertaining educational opportunities that it’s easy to get your kids excited about learning. Between the cool toy, the activity sheets, the sticker scramble and all the other goodies, your child will come away with a good grasp on that month’s theme. Space Scouts is recommended for ages 6 and up, although you may need to help a bit with some of the activities for younger kids.My son is 9 and he had a great time with Space Scouts, so I’d put the high-end range at around 11 maybe.
One thing I REALLY love about Space Scouts? The price. A monthly subscription is just $11.95 + $3 shipping. Visit the Space Scouts website to order. Check out Space Scouts on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with news.
