We’ve already watched the first six films like a zillion times while awaiting the release of the new movie and now we need something else to fill the void!
Plus, if you’re like me, once you see a great movie like that, you get on a bit of a genre kick. So even after seeing it, I’ll need some other great sci-fi movies.

Dune-
Dune is a 1984 science fiction movie that was directed by David Lynch, released by Universal Pictures and stars Jose Ferrer, Kyle MacLachlan, Jurgen Punch now, Silvana Mangano, Kenneth McMillan, Francesca Annis and Brad Dourif. The year is 10191 and on a desert planet, there is a spice that is precious. When a Duke is granted the planet and ousts his enemies, they decided to fight back.
Stargate-
Stargate is a 1994 adventure science fiction film that was directed by Roland Emmerich, released by Metro Goldwyn Mayer and stars Kurt Russell, James Spader, Jaye Davidson, Eric Avari and Viveca Lindfors. A professor and a retired Army Colonel join forces to unlock an interstellar gateway code that leads to an ancient world.
Wow…you went all the way back to Krull of the 80s. I remember as a teen watching that one at the last drive in theater in NJ.
I bet my grands kids would love all of these if they haven’t seen them yet. We are a Star Wars fan fanatic family.
