Netflix Original Series have me spoiled in a way. I love that they dump an entire season in one fell swoop so I can binge away. I don’t love that I then have to wait a year (or longer!) to find out what happens next. I suppose I could learn a bit of self-control and only allow myself to watch one episode a week so I can stretch it out, but where’s the fun in that?
Netflix Original Series Returning in 2018
1. 13 Reasons Why
13 Reasons Why is a drama mystery series that is based on the 2007 book- Thirteen Reasons Why- by Jay Asher. Season 1 aired on March 31, 2017. In May 2017, the series was renewed for season 2, to air some time in 2018.
2. A Series of Unfortunate Events
A Series of Unfortunate Events is a comedy drama series that is based on the children’s book series, of the same name, by Lemony Snicket. Season 1 aired on January 13, 2017. In March of 2017, the series was renewed for season 2, airing some time in 2018 and season 3, airing in 2019.
3. Black Mirror
Black Mirror is a sci-fi anthology series that came to Netflix for season 3, airing on October 21, 2016. Filming for season 4 began in June 2017, which will air some time in 2018.
4. Daredevil
Daredevil is an action, crime, drama, superhero series that is based on the character, of the same name, from Marvel Comics. Season 1 was released April 10, 2015 and season 2 was released March 18, 2016. In July 2016, the series was renewed for season 3, to be released sometime in the spring of 2018.

5. Dear White People
Dear White People is a comedy, drama, satire series that is based on the 2014 movie, of the same name. Season 1 was released April 28, 2017. In June 2017, the series was renewed for season 2, to air sometime in the spring of 2018.
6. Grace and Frankie
Grace and Frankie is a comedy drama series. Season 1 aired May 8, 2015; season 2 May 6, 2016 and season 3 March 24, 2017. Season 4 is set to air sometime in the late spring of 2018.

7. House of Cards
House of Cards is a political drama series that was adapted from the 1990 UK mini-series, of the same name and is based on the 1989 book, of the same name, from Michael Dobbs. Season 1 was released February 1, 2013 and season 5 May 30, 2017. Season 6 will air some time in 2018.
8. Jessica Jones
Jessica Jones is an action, detective, superhero series that is based on the character, of the same name, from Marvel Comics. Season 1 premiered on November 20, 2015. In January 2016, the series was renewed for season 2, set to premiere some time in 2018.
9. Love
Love is a romantic comedy series. Season 1 aired February 19, 2016 and season 2 aired March 10, 2017. In February 2017, the series was renewed for season 4, slated to air in early spring of 2018.
10. Luke Cage
Luke Cage is an action, drama, superhero series that is based on the character, of the same name, from Marvel Comics. Season 1 was released September 30, 2016. In December 2016, the series was renewed for season 2, airing some time in 2018.
11. Narcos
Narcos is a biographical, crime, thriller series that is based on the real-life of drug lord, Pablo Escobar. Season 1 aired August 28, 2015 and season 2 September 2, 2016. In September 2016, the series was renewed for season 3, which will air September 1, 2017 and season 4, which will air in the fall of 2018.
12. One Day at a Time
One Day at a Time is a sitcom series that is loosely based on the television series that aired from 1975 to 1984. Season 1 was released January 6, 2017. In March 2017, the series was renewed for season 2, airing some time in 2018.
13. Orange is the New Black
Orange is the New Black is a comedy drama series that is based on the 2010 memoir- Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison- by Piper Kerman. Season 1 was released July 11, 2013, with season 5 being released June 9, 2017. In February 2016, the series was renewed for seasons 6 and 7, with season 6 set to air in the summer of 2018.
14. Santa Clarita Diet
Santa Clarita Diet is a horror comedy series. Season 1 aired February 3, 2017. In March 2017, the series was renewed for season 2, set to air some time in 2018.
15. The Crown
The Crown is a biographical drama series that is based on the life of Queen Elizabeth II. Season 1 was released November 4, 2016 and is expected to last for a total of six seasons. Season 2 will air November 2017 and season 3 November 2018.
These all sound like great shows. I can’t wait for Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
Netflix has the best shows on right now! I just finished 13 reasons why!
We can’t wait for the return of Lemony snicket. That series was so well done and stayed truer to the books.
My husband is going to be excited to watch more Luke Cage and Daredevil. He likes those shows.

We are so glad those shows are back on Netflix which we love. I have never been able to stop watching Orange is the new Black and my daughter and I watched 13 Reasons Why so it looks like 2018 will be Netflix for us.
