Nashville Season 5 New Characters
With season 5 of Nashville premiering on CMT on January 5, 2017, there are some new faces on the show. Here are the season 5 new characters of Nashville.
Hallie Jordan
Hallie Jordan is played by actress/singer Rhiannon Giddens. She first appeared in episode 1 and is a young woman who discovered Juliette Barnes after the plane crash. Hallie sings to Juliette until help arrives. Rhiannon Giddens is the founder and lead singer for the country/blues band called Carolina Chocolate Drops.
Zach Welles
Zach Welles is played by actor Cameron Scoggins. He first appeared in episode 1 and is an app developer who is hosting a private event in Silicon Valley and is a huge fan of Rayna James’s, who is playing at his event. Cameron Scoggins is best known for his role as Stan in the 2013 movie The Happy Sad and his role as Sasha Bernstein in the 2014 movie Hunter & Game.

Pastor Lewis
Pastor Lewis is played by actor James Moses Black. He first appeared in episode 2 and is the pastor at the church where Hallie Jordan sings in the choir. James Moses Black is best known for his roles as Adler in the 2015 movie Evan’s Crime and his role as Dr. Haleman in the 2015 movie The Runner.
Clayton Carter
Clayton Carter is played by actor Joseph David-Jones. He first appeared in episode 3 and is a singer and guitar player who Maddie meets at a coffee shop. Joseph David-Jones is best known for his role as Connor Hawke/Green Arrow on the television series Legends of Tomorrow.
Carl Hockney
Carl Hockney is played by actor Linds Edwards. He first appeared in episode 3 and is a guitar technician. Linds Edwards is best known for his roles as Carl Smith in the 2013 TV movie Ring of Fire, his role as JoJo Turrie in the 2013 movie Homefront and his role as Jubal Hubbard in the 2016 movie Josephine.
Damien George
Damien George is played by actor Christian Coulson. He first appeared in episode 4 and is a director who produces the music video for Scarlett O’Connor and Gunnar Scott. Christian Coulson is best known for his roles as Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort in the 2002 movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and as Archduke Rudolph in the 2005 TV mini-series Beethoven.
