Invite Bandz Review: It All Starts with a Secret Code
The fun starts with a secret code that your child (or you, if they need a little help) enter into Marked Private website. This code is found in your Invite Bandz box and let’s you set up all the details for the event.
Setting up the party page was easy. I added some basic details, then let Jake take over. From there, he could edit the party page to the way he liked it. He started with the Smash Board, which is kind of like the “welcome” image that his friends see when they log in with their codes (more on that in a moment). I had his friend screenshot for me so I could see what it looked like when logged in as a guest. Jake has since changed the background like five times!
Next, he got the chat started by adding his own message. His friends can reply and add their own chat too! This is a great way for kids to talk about their plans for the party or make any special requests.
I love that the chat section only allows those who are invited to the party to participate. Even after the party, kids can continue to use it as their own little private social media network! They can even upload pictures and videos. I can see using this for purposes beyond the party. Like, even if we can’t invite a friend from across the country to the physical party, we can still mail out an Invite Band and let them in on the fun.
I think Jacob enjoyed setting up party polls the most! Use this section to ask your friends what they plan to bring, what they want to do at the party and more. Since Jake’s party was all about outdoor fun, he wanted to know what everyone was riding. If you’re wondering about the points they earn and what they can use them for, basically they can trade them in for virtual stickers, backgrounds, games and more.
Inviting friends with Invite Bandz
Once you have your party set up, it’s time to invite your friends! Each box comes with 8 Invite Bandz. You can also get Add-On packs with 4 Bandz in each one. Simply slip the Bandz onto the cardboard invite with the secret code, like this:
Then slide them into the provided envelops for mailing, or hand them out to your friends! Once your friend has their Invite Bandz, they sign up for a free account and enter the secret code. They can RSVP, answer polls, chat with you and more on your party page! It’s more than just a fun way for your tween to invite friends to their party, it’s a entire social experience from beginning to end.
Buy them online at Marked Private™. Like Marked Private on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, check out their Pinterest page and subscribe on Youtube.
