Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 14 Recap “New Guys, New Lies” #PLL

Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 14 Recap “New Guys, New Lies”

Season 6 Episode 14 “New Guy, New Lies” of  Pretty Little Liars, starts with Spencer waking up in bed with Caleb after their night together. Congrats, now we officially have Team Spaleb! We can all move on to more devious happenings, but is it necessary to rub it in Toby’s face too? Spencer reads the text that all the girls had received that night. All the girls meet up and discuss the text and who could have sent it. They talk about how Sarah could be the texter, but so could a lot of other people. They see Aria’s dad in town and Aria herself didn’t even know he was back.They then find out that the murder weapon that killed Charlotte was a number nine golf club.

Aria goes to the coffee house to talk to Sabrina, who works there. She asks if Ezra is around but is told he left town for a few days. Aria asks if she could go into Ezra’s loft apartment to get something but Sabrina tells her she’s not allowed in. Hanna tells Emily that she told Spencer to be with Caleb.

Aria meets up with Emily and tells her about Ezra leaving town and asks her to help sneak into his loft by distracting Sabrina. Emily distracts Sabrina while Aria steals the loft apartment key and breaks into Ezra’s place. Way to go Aria, because breaking into the apartment of a potential murderer is the best decision you could be making here. Aria discovers Ezra’s nine irons in his golf bag (Ezra plays golf? Kinda hot I guess, maybe…), so Ezra can’t be the new “A” …right?

Hanna explains to her mother why she erased the footage, and her mother tells her that all the footage from the hotel gets backed up to a place called The Farm. Hanna’s mom freaks out a little bit but overall forgives her pretty easily. Aria searches through Ezra’s loft apartment but doesn’t find anything till she listens to his phone message recordings. She hears her father tell Ezra in an ominous message that “what he saw wasn’t what it looked like.”

Hanna tells her fiance Jordan about what she did and tells him that she is sorry she lied to him. Spencer shows Caleb the text the girls all got and he starts hacking to trace the texter. Aria and Emily go to Aria’s house and can’t find her father. They somehow miss this super creepy moment when the mailman is staring at them through the window, OMG!

Spencer and Caleb track down the cell phone who’s been texting them. They come across a storage unit with only a trash can inside it. Inside the trash can is the cell phone and the mysterious black hoodie that A always wore. Aria finds the spare key to her dad’s car and discovers his golf clubs in the trunk with the number 9 missing. So um, is Aria’s dad the new A? WTH is going on here? With the new A going by a devil emoji, I didn’t expect A could possibly be one of the parents. Things are getting weird here. 

Hanna finds out that the hotel backup footage is missing and doesn’t know that her mother is the one who stole it. I think it’s pretty likely that this footage is going to end up in A’s hands, but for now, Hanna’s mom is looking out for her. Secrets like these don’t get buried that easily Hanna! Hanna then goes to her mother’s hotel to check and see if Aria’s father checked in with Ezra but he never did. Aria’s father calls her and tells her it’s very important that they meet.
