In case you don’t know who Jeff Dunham is, he is a ventriloquist/comedian that was born April 18, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. His ventriloquism career started when he was eight years old after his parents gave him a Mortimer Snerd Dummy for Christmas. Since that time, Dunham has had seven specials on Comedy Central: Arguing with Myself, Spark of Insanity, Very Special Christmas Special, Controlled Chaos, Minding the Monsters, All Over the Map and Unhinged in Hollywood. He has also had six worldwide tours: Spark of Insanity, Identity Crisis, Controlled Chaos, Disorderly Conduct, Not Playing with a Full Deck and his newest tour, Perfectly Unbalanced.

Dunham has several puppets that he uses in his acts. However, there are five that he uses on a regular basis: Walter, Peanut, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick, Bubba J and Achmed the Dead Terrorist. Walter is a retired grumpy old man, Peanut is a hyperactive purple critter, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick is just that, a jalapeno pepper on a stick with a sombrero, Bubba J is a beer-drinking, NASCAR-watching redneck and Achmed the Dead Terrorist is a skeleton corpse of a suicide bomber. You could say he’s into irreverent humor!
So, yes this special was uncensored and there were some jokes that were not exactly kid-appropriate but those will not be included here.
Jeff Dunham: Unhinged in Hollywood Uncensored was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. This is the same place that the Academy Awards take place. Dunham opens the show with just a few jokes, including one about how the Dolby Theater is a fancy place yet the audience is there to see a middle-aged man talking to his dolls as well as a joke about how he has traveled all over the world and has been to several places where they don’t speak English, including France and Southern California.

Walter is up first:
Jeff: “Are you happy?”
Walter: “Look at me!”
Jeff: “What does your wife watch on TV?”
Walter: “I don’t care.”
Jeff: “Maybe you and your wife can watch a movie together?”
Walter: “No, every time we do that, she falls asleep. The next morning I have to drive back to the theater to pick her up.”
Jeff: “So you use Facebook?”
Walter: “I was recently unfriended by someone.”
Jeff: “What did you do?”
Walter: “He posted that his wife passed away and I liked it.”
Bubba J is up next:
Jeff: “What have you been up to Bubba J?”
Bubba J: “I went to a NASCAR race and was drunk.”
Jeff: “Drunk again?”
Bubba J: “No it was the same drunk, I just kept extending it.”
Jeff: “Have you been to Disney?”
Bubba J: “Oh sure.”
Jeff: “Did you go on the ride It’s a Small World?”
Bubba J: “Is that where you go on a date and find out she’s your cousin and then say “It’s a small world? Yeah been there, done that.”
Jeff did a mock commercial about selling the Little Jeff Ventriloquist Dummy.
Peanut is up next:
Jeff introduces Peanut saying, “We don’t know what he is or where he’s from, but he’s purple and he’s funny. Please welcome my friend Peanut.”
Peanut: “Is it normal for your heart to sound like a weed whacker?” After consuming too much coffee from Starbucks.
Jeff: “No!”
Next up is Achmed the Dead Terrorist:
Jeff introduces him saying, “Please help me welcome the most beloved terrorist in the world, Achmed the Dead Terrorist.”
Achmed: “Who is the most dead terrorist?”
Jeff: “That would be Osama Bin Laden.”
Achmed: “That doesn’t count, he’s dead.”
Jeff: “You’re dead.”
Achmed: “He’s dead dead.”
Jeff: “What’s the difference?”
Achmed: “He’s not on Facebook.”
Achmed explains that he is not just a dead terrorist, but now he is a cyber terrorist.
Jeff: “Do you have a new catch phrase now that you are a cyber terrorist, other than “I keel you?”
Achmed: “I click you!”
